What We Do at Emmanuel
Activities during the week
Campaigners – which is a uniformed Christian organisation during which cover a range of activities – craft, games, quizzes, Bible stories – some of which go toward completing tasks. These groups meet during term-time
Eagles on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:00pm, for 4 to 6½ year olds.
Junos on Fridays from 6:00-7:15pm, for 6½ to 11 year olds.
If you are interested in your child joining such a group, or would like to know more, then please contact us on one of the numbers at the bottom of the page.
Amongst other things, there are groups aimed at different age groups:
Groundbreakers for 11-14 year olds – Meets 6:30pm on a Thursday evening
Unplugged for 15-18 year olds – Meets 7:30pm on a Thursday evening
Encounter for 18-30 – A cell group that meets at different times and in different places.
There is also worship at St. Lawrence church on 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 6:30pm run by young people for young people.
These meet in several church members' homes during the week so that people can support each other and pray together, discuss issues arising from the Bible, and sometimes share a meal together. These tend to meet fortnightly, although occasionally they meet weekly and follow the same study together for several weeks.
As the name implies, this gives an opportunity for people to meet and chat! This happens on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2:30pm in the church hall with tea and cakes provided. If you would like to know more, please contact us using one of the numbers at the bottom of the page.
Meets in the hall on term-time Wednesdays from 1:15 to 2:45 pm. A chance for parents to meet and let the little ones play! For more details, please use the numbers below.
If you would like to know more about any of these activities, then please contact the Church Office on 020-8337-6421, or Andy (the vicar) on 020-8330-6566.
