Emmanuel Church, Morden

Who We Are

We are a friendly church in the Morden Parish Team. You can find out more about our sister churches by clicking on the links in the section Churches in Morden.

We meet in the church building on Dudley Drive / Stonecot Hill (next to the Army Reserve centre). But 'church' is not the building, it's the people - and we at Emmanuel would love to see you at any of our main church family times!

There are activities for children, Flames and Ignite, every week, and from time to time, we all come together for an all-age service.

There are three words that sum up who we are: Christian, Anglican, and Evangelical.

Emmanuel is a Christian church. We believe in one God who is three persons – Father, Son and Spirit – and we are fully committed to the classic Christian creeds.

Emmanuel is an Anglican church. As part of the Church of England, we delight in knowing that being right with God is by grace alone, by faith alone, through Jesus Christ alone. We belong to the Diocese of Southwark.

And Emmanuel is an Evangelical church. We believe that the Bible is God's trustworthy word to us today, and so we sit under its authority. And we believe that Jesus died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring sinners like us to God (as it says in 1 Peter 3:18).
